REVENUE SHARING BILL IS ABOUT TRIBALISM,

The passage of a divisive formula ON REVENUE SHARING IN THE COUNTIES – whether they settle on Senator Sakaja’s or the one by handshake; One man One Vote One shilling or any other – it will all set the country on a bad trajectory. The trajectory of tribalism. It makes us look selfish. It makes us think about our home counties.

This is what Moi said, Multi Party and MAJIMBO will lead Kenyans to tribalism. We as the Luhyia cannot continue acting as if we are the only Kenyans and others are tribalists. Devolution is Majimbo. Majimbo politics is regional politics. We must make our senators know, that this is not about Kenya. It is about Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and TransNzoia. Malala cannot purport to be in solidarity with the Somali. The Somali have no business supporting the Bukusu. Period. Senate is not about building national unity. It is about taking resources back to the devolved units.
