It’s alleged that we fight KNUT
That our aim is to kill the Union
It’s someone sponsoring us,  SO THAT TEACHERS QUIT

No, it’s not KNUT, it’s Sossion

There’s a big divide between KNUT and Sossion
Two entities married together
Each with a distinct objective
KNUT to advocate for improved renumeration
Sossion to amass riches and power
No, it’s not KNUT, it’s Sossion

Teachers need KNUT more
In the constitution, it’s the teachers right to belong to a Union
In the professional circles, a Union is a basic need
We will defend the existence of a Union with our lives
We won’t sit and celebrate as the Union accelerates on the brink of precipice
No, it’s not the Union, it’s Sossion.

KNUT’s NEC had purged Sossion
The first Union official to be purged
He didn’t go
Purged again, he brought court orders
Today, he’s purging others
The purged becomes the purger
No, it’s not the Union, it’s Sossion

True, we’re fighting Sossion
He’s clogging the pipes of teachers wellbeing
Lest we forget the CBC casualties
B5 teachers missed common cadre promotion
In the midst of korona, he’s calling for a teachers strike next year
He sounds hollow and empty
No, it’s not the Union, it’s Sossion

ILO statutes
Geneva Convention
International instruments
Good Labour Relations and Practices
Industrial Relations Charter
COTU et cetera
Sossion mentions these everytime he speaks
It hasn’t brought any change in his frosty relationship with the Gvt.
No, it’s not the Union, it’s Sossion

To save us
To salvage our KNUT
We must discard Sossion
Jongoo hutupwa na mti wake.
