For the last one week we are being told how Global Fund that has been supplying Kenyans with vital drugs to combat HIV are threatening to stop dealing with GOK and KEMSA due to corruption.  These lack of drugs is epitomized with this update from a patient living with HIV.

For the last one week the fear among People living with HIV is untold…..
For months now we are not able to access Septrin drugs from our hospitals and care centres…(Septrin are drugs we take to boost immune and thus ensure AIDs causing Opportunistic Infections don’t affect us) Recently the corruption rot in KEMSA has seen key funders of the war against HIV threaten to withdraw their support…… One thing we’re all sure is that the government is not ready to handle HIV on its own…..

Lack of ARVs means death to us….. It means… It means that because of a few corrupt guys the lives of over 1.5million Kenyans living with HIV are at stake…..
As a person living with HIV I think we’ve been through alot… We’ve suffered so so much in our own Country and a government killing us is the worst we can ever handle…
The Kenyan Government :Stop Killing Us!!!!
The Global Fund: Please don’t kill us.
The USAID: Please don’t kill us.
