KNUT cannot negotiate for BOM teachers, retired teachers, private school teachers or even TSC teachers. It is a toothless bulldog with a a noisy gong at the helm. The injustice being met on BOM teachers by the Ministry of education is horrible. It amounts to acts aganist humanity. I am therefore calling for all BOM teachers, All school workers in Kenya, All private school teachers and owners for a the GRANDMOTHER OF ALL RIOTS IN THE STREETS OF NAIROBI, AT PARLIAMENT AND MOE HQS JOGOO HOUSE AS ON 9TH SEPTEMBER 2020 STARTING 9 AM.
All of you… we meet at parliament buildings, present our petition, then move to Magoga nad his sidekick Known as belio Kipsang. We must smoke them out. Thereafter we go to treasury buildings. If we have strength ..we END UP AT TSC.
When the journey towards fighting for cushioning of BOM and Private School Teachers began way back in May, Magoha and the likes of Sossion Were mute over THEIR pleas. We continued with our campaigns and calls for cushioning until our caring President heard our cries.
Magoha and Sossion wanted to divert the attention of the President by claiming that BOM teachers get their Pay from Parents contribution and PRIVATE SCHOOLS are Private Business in Which government should not intervene.
As a good hearted Man, the president ignored the sentiments of the two individuals and declared that all teachers are equal and need to be cushioned. He instructed the Ministry to create a fund for payment of BOM Teachers and Provision of Loans to Private Schools’ Directors as soon as possible.
Three months down, Money has not gotten into our accounts. Magoha claims that BOM Teachers have been paid but none has confirmed the said payments. The same Magoha does not even mention any affairs of Private Schools. The only clichy he talks about is the “Flattening of the Curve”.
I have several questions for Education CS:
1) Who are these BOM Teachers that you claimed have been paid? Or head teachers and Principals are the new BOM Teachers?
2) Are Private Schools important in Kenyan Economy? Why do you treat Private Schools as if they are good for nothing entities in Kenya?
3) Hundreds of Private Schools Have Closed their doors permanently while you are just there talking about flattening the curve. Do you also want to Flatten the Education Curve na husemi?
4) A Head Teacher of a private School and Several Young BOM and Private School Teachers Have Committed Suicide due to the difficult life they have been going through……Dont you think that the tears they shed as they bade the earth farewell will haunt you later?
