MUDAVADI ANOINTED TO LEAD THE LUHYA POLITICS AT MARIAKANI CHURCH OF GOD IN NAIROBI DURING REQUIEM SERVICE FOR LATE ARCHBISHOP BYRUM MAKOKHA.

CHURCH OF GOD NAIROBI AREA THROWS A HUGE FAREWELL SENDOFF FOR DEPARTED ARCHBISHOP BYRUM MAKOKHA

By Peter Amunga.

8th September 2020 will go down as the day the Holy Spirit of God came down in a mighty WAY upon those who interacted, worked and sat under the Archbishop BYRUM MAKOKHA in Nairobi.

By 2 am all congregants from the 13 churches that fall under COG were sited at the MARIAKANI alter when H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, Hon Omboko, Hon Alfred Agoi, Hon Beatrice Adagala, Hon Osothi, Senator Malala, and Hon Ayub Savula arrived.

The preaching from the book of Isaiah was about taming our tongues. In a country where words, insults and abuses are seen as heroic, the preacher termed the late Archbishop BYRUM as a controlled man, sober, intelligent but forthright. BYRUM never abused anyone. Never engaged in vain babblings, but his power was felt across the globe. Late president Moi depended on BYRUM for spiritual guidance. So did the founding father Jomo Kenyatta and Mwai Kibaki. H.E. MUDAVADI made it clear that Luhya politics for many years was controlled and shaped at KIMA, the Headquarters of Church of God.

Byrum would with his wisdom anoint leaders who rose to be what they became.

Byrum anointed Khasakhala, Mukuna, Masinde Muliro, Sabstone Mudavadi, Ligale, Mwangale, Wamalwa and many others.

SPIRIT CAME DOWN

The preacher Doctor Makanga sent by NCCK preached from the Book of Isaiah on how God put a hot coal on the mouth of Isaiah before He commissioned him to the prophetic ministry. That to be a leader one MUST CIRCUMCISE HIS TONGUE. Know when yo speak, what to speak, where to speak. The masters of ceremony Kanoti Ramoya and Peter Amunga then pointed out that one such leader that the preacher had preached about was Musalia Mudavadi. Amunga said Mudavadi had never insulted anyone in his life as a politician. Mudavadi became a minister at the age of 28. AS A YOUNG POLITICIAN UP TO TODAY, Mudavadi has been peaceful. From the times of Kofi Anan, to Kuapishwa and to Handshake and now Divorce between Uhuru and Ruto, Musalia remains peaceful. Kibaki, Raila, Uhuru or Ruto and their supporters will never point a finger to MUDAVADI for using abusive words on them. Never.

Senator Malala of Kakamega was the first to not only repent and apologise, he called out to Hon Osothi to do the same. Earlier in the service Osotsi had referred to those who opposed him as evil spirits. Cleo told Osotsi to stop such language. Ayub Savula said he was a son of a pastor and was already born again from using abusive words. H.E. spoke last praising Late Archbishop and forgave Malala. He said Malala was his son.

PRAYERS

Rev. Overseer Omamo and Overseer ASILA then led reconciliation prayers for the Luhya leaders. It was clear, the reconciliation spirit of the late Archbishop BYRUM MAKOKHA was present.

REST IN PEACE ARCHBISHOP BYRUM MAKOKHA.

All roads now lead to Kima, for final sendoff on 12th September 2020.
