THE DEPARTED ARCHBISHOP BYRUM MAKOKHA SENDOFF WILL BE ABOVE PETTY POLITICS AND INNUENDOS, BE THEY FROM FAMILY OR OTHERS WHO WANT TO CAUSE CONFUSION
National leaders led by the president and his deputy, H.E. MUDAVADI and right hon Raila Odinga have confirmed invitations and attendance to the grand sendoff of Archbishop BYRUM MAKOKHA at Bunyore Girls in Vihiga on 12th September 2020.
We wish to inform all mourners that the service will be held in accordance and protocols of COVID 19 and will be free of political shenanigans and hostility speeches. We have noted with concern social media posts purporting to be from family members trying to castigate the funeral committees.
A post doing rounds purported to be from the daughter of the Late BYRUM MAKOKHA suggesting that the family has been left out from the funeral arrangements. Nothing can be further from the truth. The committee at the Hqs and in NAIROBI have been working in tandem with the family to raise funds to pay hospital bills and to ensure a glorious sendoff.
The alleged post from the daughter of late archbishop is not accurate. All money so far collected has gone towards offsetting bills and now arranging a glorious sendoff for Omukhulundu BYRUM. It is important to note that.
- The authenticity of the writer is not verified.
- The Church of God in East Africa lost its head and leader, Archbishop BYRUM. He is a national and international figure. His funeral on Saturday will be attended by both National and international political and spiritual leaders. This means, his funeral service cannot be organised by the family alone.
- WE as leaders, congregants and Christians join the family in mourning. We respect the family and love them. We mourn with them.
- Just like all national leaders, his funeral will be organised, attended and done according to his status. Family are given the first rights and are constantly contacted to ensure their wishes and demands are met.
We wish to assure all that BYRUM MAKOKHA life celebration will be done in accordance to HIS STATUS. The family will be honoured and consoled at the right time.
