Raila’s Bomet Visit abridgement.

  1. 0800hrs: Aboard a dark grey Prado, Raila’s advance team led by Philip Etale arrived at Sossion’s home.
  2. 0800- 1145hrs: Arrival of invited locals and South Rift Knut officials.
  3. 1153hrs: the Helicopter carrying Raila, Atwoli, Eugene Wamalwa and Orengo touched town
  4. 1201hrs: Raila and team is ushered into Sossion’s house for lunch.
  5. 1230hrs: A two hour closed door meeting with 30 KNUT officials on BBI.
  6. 1435hrs. Raila and team stepped out for a public ceremony.
  7. 1436hrs : As Sossion picks a mic to welcome Raila, the Power went off for 19Minutes.
  8. 1455hrs : Power is back, again the efforts to welcome Raila begun in earnest.
  9. 1500hrs: A Heavy downpour disrupting the already disrupted Ceremony
  10. 1603hrs: the Rain subsided,
  11. 1607 hrs: Hurried speeches, Nick Salat as the MC.
  12. 1612 hrs: MP. Ngeno hammered πŸ”¨ Baba and ilk amidst cheers from the crowd.
  13. 1630hrs Raila Hurriedly gave his speech to almost empty tents, the melancholy mood is evident.
  14. 1653hrs : Vote of thanks.
  15. 1704hrs Dejected Raila and entourage boarded their helicopter.
    1710hrs; The helicopter took off, not even young children were there to wave BABA bye.
