It would be important to understand what is alarmist and what is not.

Take for instance the issue of the national debt. This is highlighted often in mainstream media – by both journalists and economists. Today, the Citizen Tv has a strory.. that our debt is racing past 7 Trilion. Kibaki left our debt at 1.6 Trillion. In 8 years Uhuru and Ruto have pushed it up 500 times greater.

This is alarming. Very ALARMING.

This story alone should be enough for Kenyans to refuse to listen to any political narratves from Ruto or Uhuru. These guys cannot tell us that all is well. If Kenya was a country where people take matters economy more seriously than politics… Ruto will be evicted from Karen with his wheelbartows and held to account for all these trillions. Uhuru would have gone down in history as having led us to this shithole. Raila will be put to task over his role as leader of opposition who does not see or hear evil

It is only wise to say that Kenyan must stop talking less politics and now speaking economics. Let us comment this serious issue simply because it is what will guide the 2022 presidential elections.

In point of fact, I tend to think these are the issues we as bloggers, writers, influencers and media should give greater attention to economics by developing credible, coherent narratives around it. Stop these nonsense of Wheelbarrows and coronation ceremonies in Bondo. Non of us will eat or pay fees because Kikuyu elders visited Raila in Bondo.

If we only focus on the simple and the straight forward politics of Kenya, then we are really not doing ourselves as a country any favours – in the long run.
