HOSPITALS IN WESTERN KENYA HAVE NO OXYGEN, NO EQUIPMENT, NO BLOOD, NO morgue TO PRESERVE VIP DEAD BODIES

By peter Amunga.

We are the living dead in western. Our health facilities are down. The story of late MP MURUNGA has exposed our underbellies. That he died looking for oxygen… And after he died, Parliament decided that no hospital in Western could handle a dead body of a honourable MP. They evacuated the body to Nairobi. That is a very big statement.

Pictures of tattered beddings of Busia County Hospital did rounds on social media over the weekend.

I did nurse my parents in different hospitals in Western sometime back. The main thing that I noted is that hospitals need when you bring in a patient is

1.Qualified staff.
2.Equipment

  1. Oxygen and blood.

WITHOUT those 3. You or your patient are dead on arrival.

Mp. Murunga had no chance of survival when he suddenly fell sick in Kakamega with breathing problems. . Same to Robert Sumbi, same to Dr. Alushula. Then think of thousands of Kakamega, residents dying like flies with no one proper medical care? sad.
St.Marys hospital in Mumia, Mwihila, Coptic, Mukumu and Kakamega PGH are death dens during this times of corona. No wonder our respected governor Oparanya budgeted to buy mass graves to burry us. He knew we cannot make it.

To be a resident of Kakamega, Busia, Bungoma, Trans nzoia and Vihiga you the living dead. No money. No JOBS, no factories. No food, no oxygen. NO LIFE. no moutuary. SimplyPrepare to die and as Oparanya said, be ready to be burrird like a dog in some mass grave prepared by county govt.

SOLUTION

We must rethink what quality leadership is all about. We must walk away from idle politics of BBI and such like slogans from politicians whose dead bodies cannot be preserved in Western. Tujipange kama raia. We take over leadership of our local hospitals. Mobilise resources etc.

La sivyo tutakufa, watoto wetu wakufe na maiti yetu itaozea kwa streets as bodies of politicians zikipelekwe Nairobi .. Kupangiwa vile zitazikwa.

In WESTERN. WE ARE ON OUR OWN.
