Principal no 20 has passed on since schools reopened in the post covid era.

*MADAM BRENDA O. MAMATI passed on this morning suddenly. Family say, everything happened so fast. She has never been sick or admitted for any ailment. She just suddenly complained of feaver, temperature and was out of breath. TESTS for covid still not yet out.

Her colleagues have termed her as hardworking, ever present in school with exemplary leadership qualities.

Whether we live in denial, accept or run away.. Truth is covid is in schools. The unfortunate thing is that testing is not being done. That means teachers are dying of covid like symptoms, but because tests are not done, we live in denial and the virus continues to spread. We demand that St. Brigit’s Kitavi in Kimilili (not the Kiminini one) be closed down and all teachers and students tested for covid.
