Fellow teachers.
Bible says, “..My people perish for lack of knowledge.”.. We are teachers. We need to be properly informed. That Corona will NOT KILL YOU. But that condition we have managed so well over the years and lived with, will kill now kill us quickly due to covid.
Allow me to explain.
Being one of you, I am aware you love academic debates. Many of us love debating and doing siasa mingi just to prove how knowledgable we are. And that is very much allowed.
But what pains me is this! When I cry out LOUD that covid 19 is clearing us, that our schools are dens of spreading Corona.. that Schools must be made safe OR CLOSED.. .many of us take it LITTERALY. Wanachukulia kijuujuu and start trying to disapprove me and even make us appear foolish.
Many of you are quick to point out that the examples I keep giving of teachers dying from covid related complications are wrong.
Madam Obare
For example, I reported that a headteacher in Siaya, Madam Millicent Obare died from Covid related complications. I even went shead and said, tests on her body for covid had not been done. I insisted that teachers are dying faster, suddenly and others simply collapsing in school and dying. I said there is NO TESTING GOING ON IN SCHOOLS FOR CORONA.
Now! clever collegues came out to tell me that Principal Obare died of cancer. They said she has lived with cancer all her life. Even her breast was removed. So corona cannot have killed. Sasa, nobody has doubted her condition.
That is where ignorance fails us. Get my point. Covid 19 does not kill. Read my posts very carefully. I never say COVID has killed. I said, Madam had NOT even been tested for covid.
But I said.. Get me clearly. COVID RELATED COMPLICATIONS KILLED HER. She has managed to live with cancer. But covid is in the air. It weakens our immunity. It then allows conditions we have managed so well to KILL US. Due to stigma and lack of testing or even finances to go for testing, teachers are dying. Huo ndio ukweli. Covid is the silent killer. The common denominator in the many deaths we are seeing in the profession.
CONCLUSION
That is,why, your employer TSC has made it clear. If you are above 58. Or you have underlying conditions like cancer. STAY AT HOME.
