In July 2016, 8 girls of Moi Girls Kapsowar were expelled because they were pregnant. It took media highlights, politicians including Kipchumba Murkomen and Ministry of Education to intervene and plead with the principal to have them readmitted. The Principal then, is the current Principal of Lugulu Girls, Mrs. Dina Cheruyiot.
For her good work in Elgeyo Marakwet, Dina was promoted by TSC to head the prestigious Lugulu National School. Dina is also the holder of HEAD OF STATE COMMENDATION (HSC) which is the highest award any teacher or civil servant in Kenya can have. It thus beats logic, that such a principal who could not entertain pregnant POKOT girls in her school to now be accused by school girls at Lugulu for protecting rapists and male teachers whom they accuse of raping them. Dina Cheruyot is not the type of principal to protect pedophiles and sex pests.
This kind of thing happened at Moi Nairobi girls where a girl claimed she was raped. It was later discovered that girls at the school had plastic toys that resemble male organs known as DILDOS. They used these toys to insert into each other. Those unwilling to be inserted ar were then raped. These kind of girls dress up as men put on male perfumes & roam from one dorm to the other at night dressed as men. Other innocent girls who see them roaming about then imagine that strangers are roaming in their school with ill intent.
It is thus A BIG LIE from a school girl in Lugulu under the headship of the no nonsense Dina Cheruiyot to claim and I quote… “We don’t have sex to give male teachers, we only have As to give” –
We teachers are professionals. We are also parents. Many times, it is those badly brought up girls who frame teachers so as to get an excuse to close school and go home to continue with their bad manners which include illicit sex, drugs and extortion. Truth is that these children are a reflection of our Kenyan Society. Just like it happened at Moi Nairobi Girls it is happening at Lugulu and many other boarding schools in Kenya.
Let us not hear that Dina Cheruiyot and her staff at Lugulu girls are being victimized because of the alleged rape cases in the school. There is no evidence. Let Parents, social media haters, media, politicians and the reckless CS Education one George Magoha, not blame teachers for the societal problems in our schools.
