Indeed the people of Muranga are happy lot. Good things are coming their way courtesy of their Mp one Mwaniki Wangari. Wangari threw a large party last weekend and boasted on facebook how she influenced recruitment of teachers in her constituency. She even gave names. She said they now have letters. (Remember the rest of Kenyans who wanted a teaching job had to go line up for interviews and have not received the letters yet) Simply this Muranga leaders have something they know that we don’t.
To celebrate further HARDSHIP AREAS NOW INCLUDE MURANGA, KIGUMO NYANDARUA, KANDARA AND NHAHURURU as per circular dated 23rd November 2020. For those who do not know what is hardhip let me explain. TSC pays an equivalent of a third of your basic salary as hardship allowance. If you are a teacher in a hardship area, that is NOT REALLY HARDSHIP you are lucky. To get hardship status is not easy. We have areas in Turukana, Isiolo, Samburu, Homabay, Bungoma Busia Nyando, West pokpt Coast region etc. that are totally hardship. Schools with no water, no roads, no toilets, no access… But they have never been listed by the employer as hardship. Many union officials have fought for former teachers teaching in total hardship laces to get extra hardship allowance to no avail.
There is something that the MPs for Kigumo and Muranga know on how to get free recruitment letters and how to get their constituencies listed as hardship. The rest of Kenyans must wake up and learn how things are done. We MUST LEARN THE ART OF CORRUPTION, TRIBALISM AND NEPOTISIM. Otherwise tutakufa maskini.
