On this Jamhuri day teachers in Kilifi are burying one of their own in Taita. Philip Mutiso Muange who died due to covid complications on 8th December had only served as head teacher for 2 months. One can say delocalization is what sealed his fate. Contracted covid at School. Rushed yo hospital. Put on Oxygen at local hospitals, before MINET tried to transfer him to NAIROBI. He died on the road.
You must have seen a trending video clip of learners crying and wailing. They are of shauri Moyo primary on news of having lost their head teacher.
PHILIP was a born again Christian, a father, a graduate of Kigari TTC and MKU. Delocolised this September from Lotima primary in Taita Taveta county to Shauri Moto primary in Vipingo Kilifi county as head.

LIVES OF TEACHERS remain at risk in schools. As of now 68 teachers have died of covid 19. Unfortunately we are not hearing about it on media because of the stigma and the fact that TSC and Ministry officials do not want to cause panic. They want things to look normal so as to please Uhuru Kenyatta that all is well. So we are keeping it Chini ya maji.
REST IN PEACE PHILIP.
