Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Junet Mohammed and other ODM leaders campaigned for their candidate yesterday in Matungu.

They were shocked after a Matungu residents refused to show their support for the ODM candidate. Junet had asked the residents to raise their hands if they will vote for David Were. Surprisingly, only a section of the crowd raised their hands.
“Am pleading with you to vote in David Were to bring development to Matungu constituency. If you agree, raise your hands. What about those people on the other side. Please raise your hands. Let’s great each other,” he said.

Instead the youths STARTED burning the freebies and campaign materials that OPARANYA had brought.

So far,all indications are that the ANC candidate Nabulindo is leading.
