WHATS THIS FIXATION ABOUT EVENTS HAPPENING IN WASHINGTON when we have our mess that should concern us most?” someone inboxed me last night as Joe Biden and kamala Harris stood at the doorsteps of history.

Weeeell…i sometimes don’t know how to respond to such colourless thinking. More often than not;such individuals have nothing to say about anything! They pretend to be disinterested bystanders but all along they snoop on other people’s timelines. I digress!
Lots of history was made last night East African time. A woman with multiple racial extractions and heritages became the first woman vice president of the USA! Indeed America is a land where all dreams are possible and valid!

Then a black girl shook the lordly halls of Capitol Hill as her voice reverberated around the world in her “phenomenal woman” Maya Angelou moment. Any moment that brings out the dazzling brilliance of the black race inspires me to high heavens. A star was born . The presence of genius. Extraordinary!
“POLITICS DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A RAGING FIRE THAT’S DESTROYS EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH” was to me the ultimate punchline. We can differ, we can disagree, we can even fight… But that shouldn’t make us sworn enemies. Someone.. Anyone listening?
The picture of kamala Harris walking down the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is an eloquent statement to our young daughters/girls and young boys around the world that dreams are valid!
There’s alot to love and hate about America. The racism question is the ugliest thing in this ‘land of the free’
That the White House and Capitol building edifices that are hallmarks of democracy were build by slave labour is a stain on the conscience of America…forever.
As you marvel at the dazzling highways and glassy skyscrapers jutting to the skies like arrows in America’s wondrous cities; kindly always remember the hard labour black people whose forefathers and mothers were violently kidnapped from the west coast of Africa had to endure.
Recall the many skeletons of lynched black slaves that lie beneath the glamour of the richest country in the world. Racism is a war theyve fought in the past; are still fighting now and will in the future.
The most beautiful thing about this land though is that whatever its you want to achieve,if u put all your mind to it you can indeed get. It’s indeed AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL…
Sometimes!
KENYA THE BEAUTIFUL??
