SAMMY Omukoko is currently one of the few Luhyas running successful business and CEO OF BLUE CHIP COMPANIES in Kenya.

For that, Omukoko could not miss to be at the funeral of Mama Dina MUCHELULE where the entire Western province was gathered last weekend.

Omukoko spoke to mourners on the need for investments in Western Kenya to reduce poverty levels. He said and I quote…

“We have seen pickets of infrastructural development in KAKAMEGA, but what KAKAMEGA needs in future is a CEO for a governor who can ensure that members of this great county have money in their pockets.. “

There is little to show, in KAKAMEGA in terms of investments from either locals or foreigners which can translate into jobs or money in the pocket.

Earlier leaders have turned KAKAMEGA residents into dependants of handouts from politicians. Omukoko is promising to change that if elected governor to replace OPARANYA.

Omukoko is an Msc finance (ongoing, University of Nairobi); BA, mathematics and computer science, University of Nairobi. He has Over 12 years experience in credit rating and reporting; 17 years as a practicing banker with Kenya Commercial Bank as chief examiner in strategic marketing and lending papers from 2000 to 2006 and Institute of Credit Management of Kenya (ICM-K) where I am a founder member and chair of the examination board from 2002 to 2004. Currently the CEO of Metropol Group of Companies that includes the new kid on the block of Business reporting.. METROPOL TV.
