ATTEMPTED ARSON AT KIBABI BOYS HIGH

OB 03/02/02/2021 AT 0015 HRS.
SUBJECT; ATTEMPTED ARSON INCIDENT REPORT.

It was reported by the Principal ST.Mary’s Kibabii Boys High school Mr.Nichodemus Ogeto that he was informed by the Teacher on duty that there was a smell of petrol around ST.Pauls Dormitory within the said institution.Police officers visited the scene at kibabii Boys High school map.ref.714604 about 1km west from the patrol base and established the same.A thorough search was conducted round the dormitory housing abut 200 students and during the time of attempted incident,the students had already reported for evening preps.Inside the dormitory,two empty 1 ltr water bottle with petrol smell and 1/2 ltr water bottle containing petrol was found hitten under one of the beds in the dormitory.Six blankets splashed with petrol was found at the scene.The following students were arrested and detained to assist with investigation.They are;

3.Claud Aura Adm.10547 FW,17 yrs.
4.Branel AlusiAdm.10889 F3W,17 yrs.
5.Tom Kandi Adm.10556 F3W, 17 yrs.
6.Patience Mudenyo Adm.10680 F3B 17 yrs.
7.Paul Graham Adm 10802 F3S,17 yrs.
8.Elvin Omondi Adm.10796 F3B 16 yrs.
9.Derick Wanjala Adm.10224 F4W,18 yrs.
10.Melly Anthony Barasa Adm10780,17 yrs and
11.Julius Ngala Adm 10706 F3S, 17 yrs.
All the students from the affected dormitory were given alternative place to sleep.The exhibit are kept at Bungoma police station and the suspects students are detained at police station for interrogation and further Police Action. Police officers are keeping vigil throughout the night at the said institution. Case P.U.I D.C.I.Bungoma South dealing.
