BREAKING. MAGOHA ORDERS THAT TEACHERS ON DUTY BE INVESTIGATED FOR CASES OF FIRE IN SCHOOLS

By Amunga Peter

A note from Regional director of of Education in Western reads and I quote.

Colleagues.. the CS has directed that any preliminary report on arson in a school must clearly state the role played by the teacher on duty and those supervising preps. The school guards should also be investigated. So let your reports state what has been done to them as well. Please oblige

Barongo Stephen Rde.

Simply, teachers will be investigated and even arraigned in court anytime a fire takes place in the schools they are teaching. It is draconian. It is punitive and should be condemned.

It is also clear, that ministry of education is out to take over responsibilities of TSC, by directing teachers. That should be stopped.

Boarding and other things that touch on school management will be done by non teachers. How can that be?

ith Teachers unions either dead or compromised, the reality is fast dawning on teachers. They will not be able to bargain with the bully MINISTRY OF EDUCATION and it’s CS one Magoha.

Already we have reports that Ministry wants to change the law such that schools will be managed by non teachers. Teachers will as I have always said, teach and go home.
