Exclusive reports from Chungwa house and from ODM insiders indicate that Raila has drifted from Oparanya and is throwing his weight towards Mukhisa in Western as he strategizes to run again in 2022.
Raila had expected Oparanya to tame Mudavadi and Wetangula wave in Western. Oparanya has apparently failed to deliver. Matungu byelection is what will place the final nail on Oparanya when his ODM person called David Were flops.
The brunch meetings between Raila, Kituyi and Orengo are not just mere lunch meetings. There is nothing like free lunch in Kenya. These are big time plans to replace the soon to be irrelevant Opash with the monied, kizungu mingi mingi and active Mukhisa as ODM point man in Luhya land.
Raila Odinga and Mukhisa KITUYI have a long history going back to the days of Jaramogi vs Matiba, to the formation of original FORD. Both were haunted by Moi Government until they fled Kenya. Raila sees in KITUYI a more stable, reliable friend compared to Oparanya who is romoured to be a Tangatanga mole.
Raila considers the former COG chair as a non starter in the MULEMBE politics.
Raila Odinga has drifted from OPARANYA in all his major functions. Surest indication being the Matungu byelection campaign where Raila is yet to set foot or show Solidarity with Oparanya project called David Were.
it is also believed by ODM machinery that Oparanya has a secret pact with the DP RUTO with a promise of a Ministerial position of either Devolution or internal security incase Ruto wins in 2022.
