ATTEMPTED MURDER IN STAFFROOM OVER FEMALE TEACHER

Karoti Girls’ High School staffroom became a battlefield as two male teachers confronted each other in a fight over a young female colleague

The bitter rivalry over the woman took an ugly turn when the other teacher reached for a panga and allegedly slashed his colleague in the head, arms and fingers.

The officer commanding Mwea East police division Daniel Kitavi confirmed the incident which not only left the school community in utter shock but also embarrassed the entire teaching staff.

The two colleague teachers turned love rivals had reportedly been cold to each other and on Wednesday, March 3, they decided to square it out once and for all right in the staffroom.

. “The two male teachers are in a love affair with one female teacher. We have also recovered the weapon he is said to have used to attack his colleague in the school compound. He will be charged with attempted murder,” the officer stated.

Kitavi added that the suspect remained in the school compound after the alleged incident even as his colleagues struggled to offer first aid services to the victim.
