Winnie Mukami is dead. Mukami died on Thursday, March 18, at Nairobi Women’s Hospital from Covid-19 complications.

The former NTV news anchor is the latest journalist to succumb to the virus after Radio CitizenManaging Editor Robin Njogu.

Winnie Mukami’s family says she was admitted at The Nairobi Hospital on Friday, March 12 and succumbed to COVID-19 related complications four days later.

She previously worked at the national broadcaster KBC for two years before joining NTV, where she honed her journalistic skills for seven years (2003-2010).
