Musalia Mudavadi gave a Keynote address under the theme “Building Public Trust Through Effective Governance and Leadership” at the Corporate Governance & Leadership Conference organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, ICPAK.

Despite the existence of virtually all institutions, systems and codes necessary for good governance, the level of the public’s trust in Kenya’s government is disturbingly low. This is evident in all levels & spheres including political, economic and social aspects. Without trust, a government finds it hard to get the support of its citizens & other stakeholders necessary for attracting their participation in nation building, including the human and financial investment that leads to financial stability and growth.
