NOMINATED MP GODFREY OSOTSI USES THE INSTALLATION OF ARCHBISHOP JAMES OBUNDE OF COG/EA TO PLAY POLITICS

By Amunga Peter.

Due to covid lockdown and restrictions, many POLITICAL leaders including those officially invited like H.E. Mudavadi and PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA skipped the event where a new Archbishop was installed in Vihiga this Sunday.

The only leaders present included, Vihiga governor Hon Otichillo, Luanda MP Hon Omulele, Hon Osotsi and Kakamega women Rep Hon Elsie Muhanda.

Hon. Godfrey Osotsi speaking to reporters away from the main ceremony (of the new archbishop of Church of God in East Africa Most Rt. Rev James Obunde held at the church Kima grounds and attended by thousands of christians from multiple denominations include CoG members from many parts of the country), spoke Politics.

Hon Osotsi congratulated the new archbishop for his new role and wished him well. He also thanked the church members for carrying out a smooth transition following the demise of the Most Rt. Rev Dr Byrum Makokha.

Osotsi who, interestingly was the only person who used the sacred event to play Politics claimed that the Church OF GOD through the late Archbishop Rev Dr Makokha held special prayers for him when leaders wanted to eject him from parliament through the bid to expel him from the ANC party. He told the congregation that he fought six court battles and won them all including this week court victory.
