COVID 19 CONTINUES TO CLAIM LIVES OF NAIROBI TEACHERS. LATEST FATALITIES: MADAM CATHRINE KINUTHIA OF BABA DOGO PRIMARY AND ELIZABETH NGESA FORMERLY AT ARYA PRIMARY

Some weeks back I warned of a looming COVID 19 problem among NAIROBI teachers after careless behavior with union officials. And we continue to have more teachers in the region ADMITTED in various ICU units and unfortunately we have lost another teacher.

Mrs Kinuthia or Cathrine Kimani was HEADTEACHER Baba Dogo Primary and passed away yesterday, the 10th of April, 2021. The late succumbed to Covid-19 related complications.

Also gone this week is the teacher in the picture with a kitenge dress. The picture is of MADAM Elizabeth Ngesa, the Arya PRIMARY SCHOOL headteacher in NAIROBI. She passed on on Friday last week burial is this Thursday. According to NAIROBI KNUT secretary Mugwe, Madam NGESA has had a life long condition and has been in and out of hospital for long. She had even opted for early retirement.

So far Nairobi we has lost 11 teachers to this faceless enemy. Unfortunately, union and TSC REMAINS silent as Nairobi teachers die. We are not seeing anything geared towards mass vaccination, and Isolation of those who fall sick. During KNUT and KUPPET ELECTIONEERING last two months teachers mingled carelessly campaigning for leaders. One of the leaders whom I named publicly had tested positive for covid-19 yet went about MEETING teachers looking for votes. Shame.
Rest in peace dear colleagues.
