Mr. Evelia Bella Lugambe, the Principal of Gilwatsi Secondary School, located in South Maragoli ward, Vihiga Sub County, Vihiga County is dead.

The late Evelia died yesterday while receiving treatment at Inuka Hospital in Kisumu. He had complications that mirror covid 19.

Mr. Bella, who was once a senior teacher at Mudavadi Girls High School (Madzuu), was a lover of games and great disciplinarian who enhanced effective and efficient service delivery in whichever capacities he served in.

Kahi Indimuli the chair KESSHA has mourned his colleague saying it is a big blow to the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) fraternity and moreso the Vihiga County branch where he served as the County Welfare Chairman.

ALLOW me to say that principals are vulnerable. Their age and nature of work where they sit most of the time in their offices makes their immune system weak and easy for the Corona virus to take advantage. With exams done, we ask principals to take leave, enroll in gyms and stay safe.
